    • A Success! - Saturday & Sunday, May 6th & 7th - Two Day Beginner Workshop with Suzanne Conrod and Sherry Chandler, Certified McGown Teachers - Suitable for beginning Rug Hookers or those who want to brush up on their Techniques

    • A Success! - Saturday, May 13th - On Your Own Workshop/Hook-In with Tatiana Knodel our Canadian Rug Hooking Artist of the Year. Bring a project of your own to work on; Tatiana will provide any assistance you may need with it and answer all your questions!

    • A Success! - Saturday, June 10th - Cheticamp Rug Hooking Workshop - This is a 1 day class, register for either for Saturday or Sunday.  Originally from Cheticamp, NS, (world capital of the hooked rug), Betty and Sylvia will be teaching the traditional Cheticamp style of rug hooking.

    • A Success! Sunday June 11th - Cheticamp Rug Hooking Workshop - This is a 1 day class, register for either for Saturday or Sunday.  Originally from Cheticamp, NS, (world capital of the hooked rug), Betty and Sylvia will be teaching the traditional Cheticamp style of rug hooking.

    • A Success! - Saturday, June 17th - Hook a Guatemala Mat - This workshop is an introduction to hooking a Guatemala style rug using an authentic design from Irma Churunel (one of the ladies from the Guatemala Multicolores Group), The Guatemala Multicolores Group is our “International Rug Hooking Artist of the Year”.

    • Cancelled - Thursday June 22nd & Wednesday, June 28th - Hooking Your Birthday Plaid - with Celia Charlton, This class is done in 2 half days. Hook your own personal plaid in your own colours and make into a bag to hold all your hooking tools. This plaid will be uniquely yours. No two will be alike.

    • A Success! - Wednesday, July 19th & Thursday, July 20th - Two Day Beginner Workshop with Suzanne Conrod and Sherry Chandler, Certified McGown Teachers Suitable for beginning Rug Hookers or those who want to brush up on their Techniques

    • A Success! - Friday, July 21st - Wire Mesh Basket Workshop with Suzanne Bailly; a retired school teacher and adult/community educator. During Covid,  Suzanne discovered Winnie Glavine of Rug Hooking Workshops of Newfoundland on Zoom and became fascinated with the freedom of hooking on non traditional foundations! 

    • Cancelled - Thursday, August 3rd - How to Transfer Red Dot Patterns onto Linen - with Jane Steele; Jane has all the Spruce Top designs ON RED DOT from Carol Harvey-Clarke, who passed away a few years ago.  These will all be available to the students who can transfer as many as they wish onto linen. Jane will demonstrate how to prepare the linen, line up the red dot, and transfer the pattern successfully. She thinks this will be a lovely way to remember Carol.

    • A Success! - Friday, August 25th - Hooking Your Zodiac Sign - Or any Zodiac sign with Jane Steele of River House Rug Hooking Studio.

    • A Success! Thursday, September 7th - Hooking Artistic Nudes - with Jane Steele, This will be a study of paintings, sculptures, patterns, designs, all depicting nudes, from which the students will get ideas for their own, exploring the obvious and not so obvious, i.e. weathervane with a flying cupid, mermaid on ships prow; this will be a tasteful workshop and nothing to do with live models.

    • A Success! - Wednesday, September 13th - Hooking Beautiful Sunsets - with Liz Young; In this exciting workshop we will create an amazing design from photographs of sunsets and atmospherics, hooking with a variety of wool strips, yarns and fun fibres.

    • Tuesday, October 3rd - "Finishing Workshop" - with Patsy Gorveatte; Learn how to professionally finish your beautiful hooked works; there are several different ways!

    • Wait List Only - Full - Thursday, September 21st & Friday, September 22nd - Tree Study Workshop - with Ruth Downing; This two-day class is designed to look at different types of trees in a pictorial setting using techniques that will create realistic qualities.  Colour, depth, light and shadow for the foreground and background will be examined extensively.

    • Saturday, September 23rd - Hooked Coleus Leaves - with Cindy Irwin; A great foray into hooking something beautiful and just a little different! The kit includes everything you need to complete this workshop.

    • Cancelled - Thursday, September 28th - Learn to Dye Wool/Yarn - with Susan Logue; This Workshop is open to beginners or to anyone who wishes to improve on their wool dyeing skills..  You will be able to participate in the demos given on the dyeing of 3 value swatches (dyed over natural wool and textures), spot dyed wool on natural wool yardage as well as natural yarn.
