TEACHER: Ruth Downing has been hooking for 20 years and is a certified RHGNS and McGown teacher. Her passion is the ‘fine detail’ in pictorials, portraits and flowers. She has taught “Fine Shaded Flowers”, “Portraits” and “Buildings Within a Landscape” at the Truro, Mount Saint Vincent and Newfoundland and Labrador Rug Schools. Ruth also teaches at her home overlooking the ocean in Cow Bay as well as in other communities and the Hooked Rug Museum. She so enjoys the enthusiasm of her students and encouraging their creativity. Her work ‘Girl with a Pear Earring’ was selected for inclusion in Celebration 2007 magazine.
WORKSHOP: To hook a Modigliani Portrait similar to samples above.
Amedeo Modigliani was an Italian Jewish painter and sculptor who worked mainly in France. He is known for his portraits in a modern style characterized by elongation of faces, necks.
PATTERNS: Your teacher, Ruth Downing has chosen a dozen or so paintings suitable for you to choose from. Once you are registered, Ruth will mail you instructions for the workshop.
You supply own backing and trace design.

Total registration fee for 3 days - $150.00, includes registration fee, tea, coffee, muffins & lunch each day.
A deposit of $50.00 is payable with registration. The balance of $100.00 is payable by May 1, 2019. Total registration fee of $150.00 can be paid with registration.
CANCELLATION/
REFUNDS: No later than May 1, 2019. No refunds after May 1, 2019.
The $50.00 deposit is non-refundable, balance of $100.00 is refundable up to May 1, 2019
